Canon T2i or Nikon D90 for the first DSLR?

i’d like to buy my first SLR camera and i’m choosing in the range of 900$ for the kit,,
knowing that i love video capturing with the depth of field effect and the great movie making capabilities of the T2i(i don’t have a camcorder),on the other hand i want to choose an SLR with great still imaging features
i know the D90 may be superior in still images,but still love movie making
i can wait for D90 price to drop,and if there will be a D5000 or D90 replacement this year,i can wait for it,but will this happen???what are the expected future Nikon models for 2010???
