Nikon F100 35mm film camera body – any experienced users?

I would just like to know what you LOVE or HATE about this particular camera body. I want to get some of the Nikon lenses for the successor to the D700 (whenever it comes out) but without a camera body they don’t do me much good! The F100 is to “tide me over” until the “D700 X” – or whatever it might be called – comes out. Plus, I want the Nikon F6 but its too pricey for me right now and I want to concentrate my money on the lenses instead. Comments??? Thanks to all who answer with good information!!!
Just wanted to add that I use other film cameras too – I’m a bit of a collector but more of an actual USER of cameras.
