Sony digital DCR-TRV19 NTSC handycam and Windows 7?
The software I have for my camcorder is not compatible with Windows 7 and I can’t find a way to fix this. Sony eSupport is giving me nothing as well. Any ideas, or is there nothing I can do?
You do not say how you connect your camera to your computer!
In windows 7 as with earlier versions you need to use Firewire, Check in your device manager to see if there is a firewire (IEEE1394 same thing) device if its there you only need a cable normally it would be a 4 to 6 pin cable very easy to get. If there is not one then you need a card and cable, something like this

install the card and reboot your pc. windows has all the drivers needed. once it has gone through the install, connect your camera to the computer and turn it on to play/edit again windows will pick it up, you can then use almost any editing package to capture the video, windows movie maker (live) will do it.
Trying to do it via USB will not work, as the continuous transfer rate is not fast enough.
