got a 2x telephoto lens for digital slr camera, why is every thing is blury,?

i have a brand new nikon d60 and 2 vr lenses, it takes crystal clear photos, the 2x lens screws on the threads of the nikon vr lens so its a lens that you add on top of the regular lens, at no zoom every thing is a little blury, when i zoom in say to 200 mm with my 55-200 mm vr lens it is a total blury mess with the 2x lens added on .

Have you tried using manual focusing – it may help, though to be honest I hate these “add on” front lenses.
