omg i need help deciding, its about cameras, so photographers help me please!?
I am going to buy my first slr camera and CAN NOT decide between the nikon d60 or the canon eos rebel xs… they are almost the same price together and i used a friends canon xsi and loved it and my other friends nikon d70 and loved it.. so i like both brands. i am mainly going to shoot landscape and skateboarding.. so sports is an issue. which has sharper images???!!! the d60 menu seems A LOT easier to use but i would rather have a better quality camera with a harder menu.. i want to buy a fish eye and wide angle so which brand has better of those lenses.. i need help deciding..
Canon and Nikon both make great camera’s. You may get a lot of answers suggesting one brand over the other but the fact is they are both fine cameras.
I am going to suggest the Canon and here is why. The Canon will accept all of the EF and EF-S lenses. The Nikon D60 and the D40 are the only camera’s Nikon makes that don’t have the auto focus motor built into the camera body. This means you have to use the few lenses they make for these bodies. All their other AF lenses can only be used in manual focus.
If you are just going to use the camera to shoot snapshots I would say it doesn’t matter. They are both very sharp, one is not better than the other, but if you want to use wide angle and fisheye’s the Canon may meet your needs a little better.
