Dslr Camera – Nikon Vs Canon In A Changing Dslr Marketplace

Nikon is in a very competitive market, so that has to do other manufacturers a direct impact on Nikon’s product direction. Twenty years ago, followed, established in the possession of the Nikon professional 35mm photography, and then AF came, thanks to digital. Canon has traditionally been the number 2 business. However, with autofocus, Canon procedures performed, since both companies updated their product lines with new technology. Then came digital photography, Canon took the opportunity and through innovation and marketingmore aggressive than Nikon, they took the number one. They became the camera of choice for most professionals, the early 21st Century. Nikon responds hard in late 2007 with the launch of the D3 and D300 – who are precisely the Olympic Games in Beijing, that about half of the professional witnesses were shooting Nikon, Canon and the rest. Four years ago in Athens, Nikon’s were few and far between.

Now it’s the second half of 2008, and Canon is shooting back over Nikon’s bow.

The new Canon EOS50D comes in a few hundred dollars cheaper than the Nikon D300 and D300 but the beats in the megapixel race (15.1MP vs 12.3mp) and thereby claimed a higher maximum ISO (12800 vs 6400). The D300 on the paper seems a better AF and faster frame rates are, but someone new publications on the market will look long and hard on cheaper, higher resolution, higher ISO Canon.- DSLR camera

A few weeks later, another shot fired with the full-frame Canon EOS 5D Mark II also priced a few hundred dollarsless than the Nikon, it is aimed at – the D700. It offers in comparison to the 21.1 MP Nikon 12.1 MP, while the corresponding maximum of 25,600. Again, the D700 has a faster frame rate, etc., but from a marketing perspective, Canon now has a very strong platform to go after the serious amateur photographer / prosumer, especially if they are not shooters.- DSLR camera

However, it will be better. At the end of August, the Nikon D90 – the first DSLR announced camera with video capture, sporting a full 720p. The ability to use SLRLenses for video capture and a very shallow depth of field is significant – it is not a function for everyone, but for some is huge, and it could save tens of thousands of dollars available for video devices. Less than 3 weeks later that Canon Nikon’s thunder once again with the Canon EOS 5D Mark II sports a full 1080p video capture mode in a prosumer camera (compared to the more basic model Nikon D90). Obviously Canon Video also takes seriously, and seems to be the superiorSystem. READ MORE http://www.dslrcamera.pannipa.com/2009/09/10/nikon-vs-canon-in-a-changing-dslr-marketplace/

Which Nikon should I buy?

I am a serious amature photographer looking to purchase a Nikon DSLR camera. Taking price and functions into account, which camera should I buy: the D60, D80, or D90?

Thanks so much!

D90: Expensive at the moment (because it’s new), while (apparently) not delivering much more than the D80 at low ISO.

D80: Price/performance winner. Can be gotten used for fairly low prices. No dust buster.

D60: If you want small, go all the way. Needs new batteries. Worst AF system. Lots of menu-dwelling. Worst viewfinder. IQ should be up there with the D80 (can anybody who has both confirm?).
