Does anyone have any idea as to when Nikon could possibly release a new DSLR camera? (e.g D400)?
What I mean is are there any significant events later on this year where they may possibly release new cameras.
A D400 (or may be D300s) might be the logical designation of a successor to the D300 which was announced in August 2007 and has been on the market now since the day after Thanksgiving that year. Nikonrumors.com and Kenrockwell.com are two places you’ll see open speculation and discussion of rumors. As someone who spent two years trying to research all I could about DSLRs, let me suggest that you not waste your time if you are waiting for the next best camera to purchase of DSLR.
DSLRs are now a lot like PCs. They are already obsolete by the time you can buy them. There will always be some new feature specifically designed to entice you to buy the next camera. Sensors are always going to get better. But if you keep waiting, you aren’t shooting and sooner or later you’ll experience a moment you wanted to capture but couldn’t because you were suffering from “paralysis of analysis” rather than taking pictures. Just a thought.
