I need information about three old cameras? Any info please!?
I have three old cameras that i dont know much about one is a minolta maxxum 5xi with a zoom xi AF 28-80 lens; then there is a minolta maxxum 7000 with a maxxum 2800 AF, AF lens 28, AF lens 50, and AF lens 70-120; the last one is a Asahi Pentax k1000 with a Pentax AF160, 50mm lens, and 200mm lens
All are film cameras, of course, the 5Xi is a lower specified but later version of the 7000 (the first AF SLR that actually worked) the lenses should be interchangeable between these two but the flashgun may not be compatible (Minolta changed the design of their hot shoe, but I can’t remember when).
In their time, both were expensive, high-quality multimodes, with similar performance to modern DSLRs (Sony make cameras that are descended directly from these). While they won’t fetch much on the used marked, they’re excellent shooters.
The Pentax K1000 was produced from 1976 until the mid-eighties, outliving not only the K-series, which introduced a bayonet mount to Pentax, but the later M-series and the professional LX.
It’s an all-manual SLR, much sought after by photography students, although not worth much. The AF160 flashgun was a cheap, short range type which lit a ready lamp in some Pentax viewfinders ( but not the K1000).
28mm is a wideangle lens, 50mm is a standard lens and 200mm is a longish telephoto, so you can work out what the zooms do from that.
