Logitech G-15 has keyboard and mouse G-5 and the computer will not read usb ports. However, other things work

I installed a new dvd-rom (# 2) and re-installed windows XP (SP2). I can reinstall the drivers, uninstalled and reinstalled again, connect the keyboard and the monkey at different times in the ports etc. usb to operate smoothly with my printer and camera. I was also in the bios and enable UPnP. computer showed that they are working but when I connect to them and turn on the lights Computer mouse turns until the boot screen and then go out and do not work. strange, but I could use the keyboard in the bios (although there was no working lights). Please Help (AMD 4200, ASUS A8N5X, 2 gig ram, 250 gig HD, BFG 7900GT graphics card Audigy2 ZS sound card, pioneer dvd, dvd lg.)

I hate the fact that many new software companies have removed the keyboard and mouse ports are forcing people to use a USB port your mouse and keyboard. I love USB for other things but not for the mouse and keyboard. Your wasting your time changing all of these components around that Windows XP has a hard time allocating resources for the mouse and USB keyboard. All your other things is not the problem. The easiest way to solve your problem is that if you hold the mouse and ports over the keyboard in the back of your computer, then put the cap on the rounded conversion USB plug at the end of your mouse and keyboard and plug into the back of the computer and I guarantee your problem will disappear. If you have only one USB mouse and keyboard then get the company who made the team on the ball to solve since they are the idiots who decide to leave the mouse and keyboard ports. Editing update if you do not have the old style mouse and keyboard ports: One more thought. Buy a new USB PCI add on card that is installed inside the computer. Add USB PCI card is assigned resorces their own. Xp resorce has tightened control and almost impossible to control. Otherwise, maybe forced to format and reload XP on your computer with all its nice new additions (including the mouse and keyboard) plugged in while charging XP. Reloading XP over the top of itself will not solve the problem. You must reformat your hard drive and then install XP. Do this last bit of addvice only if you decide to not buy PCI USB card. Sorry but I know of no otherwise.
