Getting rid of ‘Incompatible File System…’ CF card error in Canon E0S 50 D

The Canon E0S 50 D is a powerful DSLR camera which is known for delivering impeccable photo quality. Incorporating 15.1 megapixels CMOS sensor, DIGIC 4 imaging processor, Live view mode with three AF modes and 3.0 inch VGA LCD display, this DSLR has many advanced features to lure any seasoned photographer. The EOS 50 D supports CF card Type I, Type II and UDMA-compliant CF cards. Though these cards are considered as safe media to store photos in the EOS 50 D, there can be many instances which lead to their corruption. Corruption can leave you helpless as neither you’ll be able to access the previously stored photos nor you’ll be able to click and store new photos. While formatting fixes the corruption issue, it gives rise to data loss issues. In such situations, you can recover photos from an updated backup. Help me pick a DSLR camera.?

a:) Canon Digital Rebel XT 8 megapixel for $480 at Circuit city. Is this a plastic body?
b:) Olympus E410 10 megapixel for $549 from Costco which comes with 2G campact flash card, 14-42 Lens, 40-150 lens and a case. Is this a plastic body?
Thanks for your help. I appreciate all your input. I’m going to buy the Canon mainly because I used it at work without a problem for a few years, so I’m comfortable with it; but it was a close call.

Check the Sony A200 and the Pentax K10D. Both offer a lot for the money – image stabilization in the body, dust removal for the sensor.
