dSLR…DSLR…Dslr…?

So i’m about to buy my first ever dSLR camera and i need help deciding.
i’ve been watching videos, reading reviews, comparisons&tutorials about that for the past week;more or less :b .i’ve narrowed it to 4 options (i’d appreciate it if someone gave me a heads up that they’re not that great).
before i let you in on the 4 cameras i just wanted to say that i have a tight budget to spend on this, and i will be needing a good general purpose lens kit =) .

the four cameras -in order of favoritism – are:
Canon EOS 450D (rebel xsi) [not sure about it. if its more expensive i might not be able to get it :<)
Canon EOS 400D (rebel xti)
Olympus E-510
Nikon D80

please help me decide which one to get =)
dont be shy to type a hugeass answer i like reading em =)
also any advises concerning the matter are greatly appreciated =)

thanks in advance :D

I actually have an E-510. It’s a great camera, and so are the others. I like Olympus for several reasons. They tend to be a better value. You will get more features for the money and usually pay less than the competition. Olympus lenses were designed for digital cameras and, according to many experts, produce better results than film lenses adapted for digital cameras. The Olympus cameras use in body IS to work with all lenses, have live view, long battery life, etc. As for quality, my friends with Nikon, Canon, Pentax are always amazed at how well the images come out, they just underestimate Olympus as a company. Olympus has been making cameras for more than 70 years. I say go for the Olympus, you won’t be disappointed.
