What is a good camera meeting these specifications? Under $300, SMALL, AA/AAA batteries, great performance..?

Style would be an added bonus.
And by small, I just want to whip it out of my pocket or purse and take pictures easily. Something with over 3x zoom would be amazing too.
I have a DSLR but I would like to have a point and shoot for everyday pictures.
Also, I would LOVE for it to take AA or AAA batteries as opposed to rechargeable, plug-in the wall ones. Much less hassle, and easier access if on the road.
