It was released by Nikon Company last July 30, 2009. These cameras have a 3.0 inch 230, 000- dot resolution LCD monitor. Also, it has a CCD sensor which is registered to ISO 100- 1600. It is a 3-D tracking Multi-CAM1000 11-point AF which is quite the same as the part of Nikon D200. Like other cameras, it has lock in body auto focus monitor and can also switch to auto focus mode. It uses an electronic rangefinder in order to find or determine the focus. It produces image format of JPEG. With all of its features, Nikon D3000 has also a certain weakness wherein lacks a functionality of live view wherein the image formed in the focus is not as clear as a healthy sees. Also, it doesn’t produce HD (high definition) quality images.

Will a Sigma EX DG 52mm Multi-Coated UV Filter fit on a Nikon D3000 DSLR?
I just received a Nikon D3000 as a gift and I wanted to buy the Sigma uv filter but is unsure if it’s the correct size for the camera?
The Sigma filter said 52mm

The camera make and model dont matter and the filter manufacturer doesnt matter. What matters is the size of the thread on the front of the lens attached to your camera. Its usually marked on the lens typically on the narrow border surrounding the lens glass. It might just say XXmm or it might be XX with a little slashed circle next to it. (XX wil be a number like 52, 58, 67 etc)
A 52mm filter will only fit a lens with 52mm threads. The lens thread has to match the filter thread.
Please note that when I say filter manufacturer doesnt matter I only refer to fitting the lens. There are quality differences in terms of the glass used. Stick with filters from reputable camera manufacturers or aftermarket filters from Hoya, Tiffen, Sigma, Tamron, Cokin and you should be fine. Im sure there are other good ones I just mentioned what I know of. Dont buy the cheap no brand import filters sold on Ebay.
