everyone is telling me to get the Canon PowerShot SX10 IS 10.0 Megapixel 20x Optical Zoom instead of getting the Nikon Coolpix P90 12 Megapixel Digital Camera with 24x Optical Zoom my question is why is the canon better then a nikon 12MP 24x Zoom??
My suggestion: On line if you want to spend $360- to $380-+ shipping, go for the Canon SX10 IS.
On line the P90 is $367- + shipping. So it’s in the same ball park.
Don’t forget, most people don’t shoot at their lenses extremes, only once in a while. And if you’re shooting anywhere between 18 to 20X optical you’ll need a tripod or something very steady to lean camera on. Any movement will give a blurred photo. Both cameras have basically the same features, but the Canon SX10 IS is excellent on batteries.
