Is a Transcend 16GB Class 6 SDHC Flash Memory Card compatible with a Canon PowerShot A540 digital camera?
and if so, can you shoot longer videos with it?
I have a 256MB SanDisk memory card that came with the camera. It allows me to take about 100 pictures, or shoot about 2 minutes of non-stop video.
Would using this new memory card allow me to shoot for example 30 minute to 45 minute videos that I can upload onto my computer?
My main purpose for wanting this card is to use my camera like a camcorder. I shoot comedy skits, and am getting into some erotic films as well. Until I get enough money to buy a full fledged camcorder, will I be able to use this camera with the larger memory card for that purpose.
* I also have a limited amount of time in which i have access to some talented models and actors, so i cant tell them to wait another month till I can afford a real movie recorder. I have to make due with what i have!
Basically in a nutshell, can i film a 30 minute clip with this camera and large memory card?? This is very important to me!!

Okay you have all you need. Just do the math, however it is an awfully large card for such a camera. Usually a 2 gb or 4 gb card is plenty and will not cost you an arm and a leg either
Hint: There are 4-256 mb cards in a 1 gb card so 4*16 = 64 so you will have 64 times the amount recording room on that card.
