Help needed please! SAMSUNG DIGIMAX S600 ..?
My SAMSUNG Digimax S600 digital camera, is ok for taking photos indoors, but recently if i take pictures outdoors the images are too bright / very white.
In the manual for trouble shooting it says ….
Colour of image is different to the original scene?
* white balance or effect setting is incorrect
- select appropriate white balance and effect
and
Images are too bright?
*exposure is excessive
- reset exposure compensation
Could you please tell me how i do either / both of these please?

@ Jamand – Thank you! But ive gone into that, but what do i change the numbers to? Or is it a case of keep trying (ive tried lowering and raising the numbers!)
Turn camera ON
Turn dial to M
You should see F 2.8 and 1/30 on the LCD screen
Use the +/- button on the back to change the exposure and focal settings – you will also need to use the Up/Down and Left/Right function – just keep a note of the above figures – they are the base settings for normal use.
See if that helps – been a long time since a I had my S600 but I think that should cure the problem
ADDED – That should have changed it – it is a case of trial and error…..but, there is also a setting in their somehwere (sorry, I can’t remember where – long time ago) that allows you to change the settings – in SCENE, I think – you need to check to see if it is set to NORMAL……..other than that, the camera should correct the lighting automatically and adjust itself on AUTO on the dial…..I lost the manual – I did keep it and now can’t find it……….the other trouble is, when these cameras were around there were TWO manuals – one for Europe and one specifically for the UK – the UK one was very limited in what it told you – I was lucky, I had the Euro manual which went into greater details….
