Need to buy recording equipment to film career?

I'm a freshman at a college film, I'm looking for a control device external, since my camera does not have an entry for an external microphone, so I'm looking for a recorder with a microphone input port, or something similar, so we can work with a boom microphone. I also would take the microphone, as I mentioned earlier, I just started the race not long ago, only can pass something around $ 150, all inclusive. So I'd like to know what is best for me, as for the recorder and microphone, both can be purchased separately, because the total price is not more than 150. Or if anyone has any suggestions for sound recording if the camera does not offer a good quality. Thanks beforehand

$ 150? Too low … sorry … I would recommend Zoom field recorders, Edirol, Marantz, Sony, M-Audio … all are out of your budget. They all have microphones and can use external microphones.
