PVC pipe or other matter "Dolly" train "for the movies?

I am a filmmaker and use PVC pipe as the tracks "for mobile platform (a little board with wheels that put the camera.) "Train." The problem we are finding is that when we put the PVC pipe with bars makeshift bridge the gap between them makes the gaps and holes on camera. In addition, PVC pipe seems to be dirty and not really soft that the camera is sensitive a. The questions were if you do not mind sharing his wisdom: 1. Are there other types of pipes can recommend? (Remember to use the outside and not worry much outside of the tube) 2. Is there an internal thread / screw in the system that could recommend (that do not need to be waterproof just a tight fit screwing and unscrewing to endure again and again). 3. Is there anything that is not Pledge or WD-40 that may recommend ear tubes to get in and clean? Thanks friction both. I appreciate it.

interesting problems. I am very familiar with PVC pipe, having been a commercial electrician for years and even was the representative of sales for a major manufacturer of accessories briefly. Problem with the couple trying to clean it is that all manga accessories on the outside of the pipe – there's nothing stop it if it was a cement plug inside the pipe. Also you do not say what size you use. I reviewed the specification charts for Carlon Schedule 40 PVC electrical and have a suggestion. The OD of size 1 "is only slightly (.065 inch) smaller than the ID of the next size, 1 1 / 4". The same said of 3 "pipe fitting within 3 1 / 2" (which is probably larger than you need.) I want to try making a 6 "piece of pipe 1 ", the middle layer of it with PVC glue and sliding halfway into the flush cut end of a stick 1 1 / 4". Once the bonds should be able to slip another stick of 1 / 14 "flush on the piece of 1" protruding from a connection pretty tight lock to lock. Note that this work only for Sch. 40 electric, as the OD / ID of the supply pipe is completely different. From here you can experiment with other sizes. Another suggestion would a U-shaped track of metal called Unistrut (google to see the product.) It is used for the manufacture of supports in construction. You can buy it in 10 'or sections 20 'and has lots of sizes and profiles. It's kind of like an erector set for adults and has a variety of accessories that will allow it to stop downloading and armed and unarmed. The solid 5 / 8 "green enamel would be your best bet – is strong, soft and rigid. You can buy it at places provided by the contractor. But you a square profile and not round, so I do not know if that would work for you. For the lubrication that is a good choice Boeshield T-9. It is a spray-on lubricant Waterproof developed by Boeing for use in aircraft. It is not sticky and do not deteriorate the rubber components or damage to metal. I use to lubricate the aluminum frame breakdown my sea kayak folding and protect it from saltwater corrosion. You can buy it in stores chandlery. ADDITION: One way to keep the section of the tube firmly together (If my suggestion stuck in gear) would be to pass the bungee cord through the pieces and tie off each end to something that does not slip through the tube. Same design than that used for self-assembling tent poles. Carry an electricians fish tape to advance and engage the length of bungee cord to pull it through implementation of the assembly of PVC. Now I'm thinking of tent poles – they might be the ticket. Make a tent or awning Army-Navy supply provider or tenant aluminum rods to buy the manga shop together, with or without a bungee cord inside. You should be able to locate various sizes and click together as necessary for length. The brushed aluminum would be less resistance than PVC. But I could not take the diameter and strength needed for the mobile platform. I see someone recommended cable – as someone who has pulled and strained a lot of cables (stainless aircraft copper power lines), I can attest that the construction of structures with a tensile strength is difficult and it is also impossible to completely eliminate the sinking (no load on a cable stretched the SAG or break it.)
